I'm Robb Bautista, Associate at Lotus Law.

 

I was born in Manila, Philippines where I spent my early childhood. I later migrated to Christchurch, New Zealand with my family. I hold a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury. 

 

I began my legal career in 2021 as a law clerk assisting primarily with immigration matters. After becoming a solicitor in 2022, I joined the family law team and have been practicing family law since. I have experience working on a range of family law matters, with a particular focus and interest on parenting, guardianship and family violence. I am a legal aid lead provider for family matters and can also take clients on a private basis. 

 

On 1 November 2024, I was awarded the 2024 New Zealand Young Asian Lawyer of the Year Award at the Inaugural New Zealand Asian Lawyers Awards.

 

I am committed to providing compassionate, practical, and solution-focused assistance to individuals and families. I recognise that my clients are often going through some of their most confronting times, and I have the experience and skills to guide them through those challenges. 

 

As one of the few Asian family lawyers in New Zealand, I strive to provide culturally sensitive legal guidance to Asian clients and provide language support for Filipino clients, ensuring they fully understand their options and feel empowered to navigate the legal process.
