I'm Derick Lotz, Senior Associate at Lotus Law.

I hold a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance) from the University of Canterbury. Before entering legal practice, I worked as a financial advisor at a major bank. I have been practicing law since March 2018 and specialize in criminal, family and civil litigation.

 

I have extensive experience in criminal defence litigation, particularly with clients facing allegations of serious fraud or regulatory investigation. I have successfully argued cases in the Court of Appeal and High Court and am available to take instructions on a private basis or on Legal Aid. 

 

For me, the most rewarding part of my job is being able to successfully guide my clients through tough periods in their lives. I take a collaborative approach to my work, working closely with my colleagues to provide comprehensive legal services to my clients.
