I'm Louise Patira, a Solicitor at Lotus Law, practising family law in Christchurch.

​

After completing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Canterbury, I gained over two years of policy experience at an iwi organisation.

​

In 2026, I commenced practice at the Christchurch family law bar and have a particular interest in relationship property matters. I understand that the end of a relationship can be a stressful and uncertain time, both emotionally and financially. My goal is to help clients understand their legal options, and to guide them through the process in a way that clear and reasoned.

I take a careful and client-focused approach to my work. I believe it is important that clients feel heard, supported, and well-informed throughout their matter. Every family dynamic is different, and I work closely with clients to understand what matters most to them and to provide advice that is tailored to their individual circumstances.
