About Me
Tēnā koe,
My name is Grace Boddington, and I am a Solicitor at Lotus Law.
I graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Laws before beginning my legal career in Wellington. Prior to joining Lotus Law, I worked as a Historic Abuse Lawyer, supporting claimants of abuse in state care and faith-based institutions through redress processes and advocating for recognition of the harm they had experienced. This work gave me valuable insight into the lasting impact of trauma and strengthened my commitment to helping people navigate complex and deeply personal legal matters with compassion and care.
Through this experience, I developed strong advocacy skills and a client-focused approach centred on listening, understanding, and empowering individuals to make informed decisions during difficult times. I understand that legal issues often arise alongside significant personal challenges, and I am committed to providing practical guidance and support throughout the process.
At Lotus Law, I assist clients across a range of family law matters, including care of child disputes, and family violence issues. While my primary focus is family law, I also continue to assist clients with historic abuse claims, drawing on my previous experience to support claimants seeking acknowledgement, accountability, and redress. My approach is centred on providing practical advice, strong advocacy, and compassionate support, ensuring each client feels heard, understood, and supported throughout their legal journey.
